Tom Haruka (superfreshman) Tom is your average 15-year old loser with a twist; namely, some malignant force of fate has made Tom the savior of mankind! But, until that abstract force gives him some actual superpowers, he'll settle for being the savior of the ninth grade. Alison Johnathan (trusty sidekick) Alison is Tom's best friend /partner-in crime/ pseudo-girlfriend. She has provided the color commentary during Tom's many misadventures in the past, but she has been excluded from his most recent caper, which bothers her a lot more than she expected. In other words, she would just hate herself if she fell for Tom, but.... The Blue Firefly The Blue Firefly was a pink-haired magical girl with actual super powers who appeared in Tom's school cafeteria to fight Mai-Lanta. She nearly got herself killed in the process, but luckily for her Superfreshman was there to save her Chiba Mamoru-style. She later returned the favor when she brought Tom back from the dead after he fell headfirst down a flight of stairs. Unfortunately, her animal companion/svengali Orpheus was not amused by her unnecessary expenditure of his energy, and he sent her to the big high school in the sky, despite Tom's best efforts to protect her. In the process, he learned he is immune to injurous magic. Mai-Lanta Mai-Lanta is one of the last surviving Cat Dragons. Twelve hundred years ago, Mai-Lanta was able to cross over from the CatDragon dimension into the human dimension, which she attempted to conquer. Her plan was thwarted when Orpheus trapped her in an underground capsule. After twelve hundred years she was able to break the seal and escape, only to emerge in the MSMHS cafeteria and recieve a sound whuppin' from the Blue Firefly. She has been marked for death by Orpheus. Mai-Lanta is not very strong physically, but she is the most skilled user of dark magic ever spawned by Orpheus. Lozenge Lozenge is Mai-Lanta's older brother. He's not very bright, he is rather weak-willed, but he's good with his sword. Because of this, he is often manipulated by Mai-Lanta. He was also imprisoned in an underground capsule by Orpheus twelve hundred years ago. Orpheus Orpheus is a powerful deity of evil who bears a striking resemblance to a guinea pig with a mustache. He created the Cat Dragons many aeons ago to help him rule his vast domain. When they began to show signs of insurrection, he began to systematically eliminate them. Very few survived his reign of terror, among them, Mai-Lanta and Lozenge. In order to deal with them, he imprisoned them in underground capsules until he had an effective way to kill them. Recently, he recruited a young human girl to channel his energy through. The young girl became the Blue Firefly. For more info on her, see above. | |||||||||||||||||
